Graduate studies in geography and environmental studies aim to deepen knowledge in human or physical geography, geographic information technologies, and many other fields. Students can follow their interests and build personal course curricula.
Curriculum
Required courses
Soil, Wind and Fire – Environmental Challenges in the 21st Century – 4 credits
Spatial Statistics – 4 credits
Research Organization – 2 credits – obligatory for thesis track (A)
Seminar courses – 8 credits (at least 2 seminar papers to submit)
Total obligatory courses, 16-18 credits
Elective courses
Level 3 courses (MA level) can also be completed from the School of Environmental Science (SES)– up to 6 credits
External non-SES Level 3 (or higher) courses, depending on approval from the MA committee chair – up to 4 credits
Thesis track (A) – 36 credits
Non-thesis track (B) – 36 credits (including a final project)
