The School of Environmental Sciences (SES) was established by combining the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies with the Department of Natural and Environmental Resource Management. SES aims to sustain and promote a high level of research and education on environmental sustainability and management.
SES faculty consists of leading researchers from the social sciences, engineering, natural sciences and earth sciences, combining unique areas that enable a broad understanding of the natural systems operating on Earth, their impact on society and humanity, and the recognition of the interplay between man and his environment.
We foster excellence in research and education and strive to equip our graduates with theoretical and practical knowledge to put them at the forefront of environmental research and practice. Our graduate courses are designed to deepen the specialization and professionalization paths in the fascinating world of environmental management, spatial data science and environmental technology, urban sustainability, energy and water resource management, disaster and emergency areas, and more.
